Made by one of NZ's leading female winemakers Jane Cooper of Matahiwi Estate, this is an elegant wine with weightier than usual taste and mouthfeel for a NZ Sauvignon.
Just one of our Award-Winning wines
Review from NZ wine critic Raymond Chan:
Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues and depth, pale on edge. The nose is full and up-front with refreshing cool-spectrum aromas of grass, herbs and nettles, revealing gooseberry and white floral notes in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, intense flavours of grass and gooseberries are lifted by floral and herbal notes. The mouthfeel features brisk and racy acidity along with a grainy, textural line. This is straightforward in expression, and the flavours recede to a gently textured dry finish. This is an aromatic, racy textured Sauvignon Blanc with grassy flavours. Serve with seafood and antipasto.. Cool-fermented in stainless-steel.
