Celebrate 'English Wine' Week!
True 'English Wine' is made from English Grapes in English Wineries.
Wines from England are becoming increasingly popular for their quality, particularly the sparkling wines. The English climate lends itself to cool climate grape-growing and is on the same latitude as Champagne so winegrowers are finding success in producing very approachable sparkling wines.
We have started our collection of English wines with an organic winegrower, Will Davenport from East Sussex, whose Horsmonden Dry White (grown in Kent) won the Soil Association Organic Wine of the Year award in 2014.
Our second listing, soon to be added, is the Sedlescombe Vineyard in East Sussex, the oldest organic vineyard in England (30 years) and who became certified biodynamic in 2010.
